Description
The Tool Maker is responsible for constructing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying progressive die tooling and fixtures for welding, soldering, and assembly. The role involves reading blueprints and specifications, fabricating die components, operating conventional and CNC machine tools, measuring and inspecting parts, assembling and testing dies, selecting metals, and maintaining tool-room equipment. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, technical or trade school training, at least five years of tool-making experience in a metal stamping environment, English proficiency, computer skills, and basic math ability; CNC milling proficiency is preferred.
