Description
The role inspects railroad track structures for compliance with railroad policies and federal and state regulations, detects defects, directs or performs repairs, oversees production gang work, verifies completed work, and prepares inspection reports. It requires knowledge of FRA Track Safety Standards and Roadway Worker Protection rules, a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related work experience, a valid driver’s license, outdoor work in all weather, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds. The position may require on-call availability seven days per week and involves 50%–75% travel.
