Description
The Track Laborer inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains railroad track, switches, fences, crossings, and related facilities; corrects track alignment and gauge; operates heavy equipment; clears right-of-way; maintains drainage and documentation; and supports foremen, track inspectors, and machine operators. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, age 18 or older, and physical ability to perform heavy work and climb locomotives. A commercial driver's license, five or more years of railroad experience, track maintenance experience, heavy equipment operating experience, and welding experience are preferred.
