The role covers traction power design calculations, power distribution drawings, substation equipment, grounding and lightning protection, protective relay coordination, field inspections, commissioning, technical specifications, and engineering estimates. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, four years of traction power design experience, and expertise with 750 V DC third rail and overhead distribution systems; a New York Professional Engineering License is preferred.
