J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is hiring a full-time Tractor Mechanic in Indianapolis, Indiana, to perform intermediate-level preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair on company tractors and related equipment. The role covers systems including engines, fuel systems, batteries, drivetrains, transmissions, onboard computers, and air brakes, as well as DOT/FHWA inspections and work-order documentation. Candidates need at least one year of relevant semi-tractor maintenance and repair experience or equivalent training/military experience, plus A/C certification, DOT/FHWA inspection and air-brake experience, basic tools, and flexibility for outdoor work, nights, weekends, multiple shifts, and overtime. The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus and full-time benefits but is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
