J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is hiring a full-time Tractor Mechanic in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The role performs intermediate-level preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair on semi-tractors and related equipment, including engines, fuel systems, transmissions, air brakes, batteries, drivetrains, onboard computers, and inspections. Candidates need 1–2 years of semi-tractor maintenance and repair experience or equivalent training/military experience, at least one year of DOT/FHWA inspection and air-brake experience, A/C certification, basic tools, and the ability to work outdoors and across shifts. The position pays $29.18–$43.77 hourly, offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for a limited time and full-time benefits, and is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
