Description
The Airfield Maintenance Operator will operate agricultural tractors, rotary mowers, and bush hog equipment to maintain more than 3,200 acres of ranges, airfields, and training areas. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, edging, debris removal, equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, vegetation control around airfield systems, FOD prevention, safety compliance, coordination with Range Control and Airfield Operations, and support for seasonal and emergency operations. The role requires one year of relevant equipment-operation experience, U.S. citizenship, a valid North Carolina driver’s license, OSHA and Army safety compliance, outdoor high-risk experience, and a high school diploma or GED; a Class B commercial driver’s license is desired. The schedule is 40 hours per week with limited overtime.
