Description
AWP is hiring a Protector to work with teams at job sites, setting up and removing traffic-control equipment, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, following safety rules, communicating with crew and supervisors, and keeping vehicles and equipment clean. The role is outdoors year-round, may require nights, weekends, or emergency work, and involves standing or walking 8–12 hours per shift. No experience or degree is required because training is provided, but applicants need a valid driver’s license, physical ability to stand, walk, and lift 40–60 pounds, willingness to work in traffic and changing weather, and must pass a drug test. Compensation is $15.50 per hour with overtime opportunities, along with paid training, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and 401(k) eligibility.
