Description
The Traffic Control Flagger maintains safe traffic flow around construction and maintenance sites by directing pedestrians and automobiles, closing lanes, setting up and removing cones and signs, using hand signals and stop-slow devices, coordinating with road and emergency personnel, and monitoring traffic behavior. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA 10 and PowerSafe training, Traffic Control Flagger Certification, knowledge of flagging practices and traffic rules, physical fitness, and the ability to lift heavy objects.
