Description
The City of Tacoma's Public Works Department, Street Operations Division is recruiting a Traffic Sign and Marking Specialist to establish an eligible list for temporary and permanent vacancies. The role performs skilled fabrication, maintenance, repair, installation, removal, and inventory documentation of traffic control signs, supports, roadway markings, and related devices; operates specialized equipment; responds to emergency calls; and works nontraditional shifts. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, one year of roadway signage and pavement-marking experience or two years as a Street Maintenance Worker, a Washington State driver's license, and specified traffic-control, forklift, first-aid/CPR, and IMSA certifications. Compensation is $32.41–$39.40 per hour, or $67,412.80–$81,952.00 annually.
