Description
TxDOT is hiring one Traffic Systems Technician I or II in the Paris District to install, repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and test traffic control, communication, illumination, data collection, and intelligent transportation systems. The role may involve heavy traffic, statewide travel, emergency repairs, and work in extreme weather and hazardous conditions. Technician I requires no prior experience, while Technician II requires one year of relevant construction, electronic, electrical, traffic management, transportation engineering, design, or traffic systems maintenance experience. Both levels require a valid driver’s license and a Class A CDL with an N endorsement or a CDL A license within 180 days of employment. Pay ranges from $44,400 to $61,130 for Technician I and $44,400 to $64,469 for Technician II.
