Description
J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is hiring a full-time Trailer Mechanic, also described as a Trailer Technician II, in Sumner, Washington. The role performs intermediate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, service, and repairs on semi-trailers and related equipment, including air brakes, fuel systems, batteries, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, onboard computers, and FHWA/DOT compliance items. The technician completes work orders, follows manufacturer specifications, warranty guidelines, safety procedures, and shift requirements, while also mentoring trainees and communicating with personnel and customers. The position requires at least two years of semi-trailer maintenance and repair experience or equivalent, including at least one year of DOT/FHWA inspections and air-brake experience; basic welding, computer, communication, teamwork, and physical-labor capabilities are preferred.
