DB Regio AG is recruiting for a 12-month internal retraining program for career switchers to become train drivers in Sigmaringen. The full-time program combines theoretical training at the Ulm site with practical assignments and simulator and tablet training, preparing participants to operate locomotive and rolling stock independently. After successful completion, the trainee will work as a train driver, responsible for safe and punctual passenger transport, rolling-stock readiness, vehicle cleanliness, operational decisions, passenger information, and customer service. The gross annual salary is stated as 51,400 to 58,200 euros, depending on allowances and bonuses. Applicants must have completed a school-leaving qualification and a vocational qualification, preferably in the commercial-technical field, and must be willing to work irregular shift schedules, including nights, public holidays, and weekends.
