AECOM is hiring a Trainee / Assistant Engineering Geologist for its Ground Investigation team within Rail, Structures & Ground Engineering. The role supports senior team members, supervises ground investigation sites, manages site safety, conducts fieldwork such as drilling, coring, sampling, and in-situ testing, logs rocks and soils, and assists with reports. It is based in Leeds or Swindon, requires frequent travel throughout the United Kingdom, and involves unsociable hours, nights, weekends, and all-weather work. The position requires a BSc in Geology or a related subject, a manual UK driving licence, communication and teamwork skills, fieldwork willingness, and MS Office experience; knowledge of BS5930, geotechnical log software, and H&S qualifications is desirable.
