Description
SGS is hiring a Trainee Cargo Inspector in Spijkenisse or the surrounding area to inspect liquid petrochemical cargo from ships, tank trucks, land tanks, and rail wagons. The role includes sampling, cleanliness inspections, measurements, quantity calculations, and coordination with laboratories, customer service, customers, and terminals. The position starts on a two-shift schedule and may progress to a five-shift schedule, with internal training and opportunities to advance to junior, medium, or senior Cargo Inspector roles. Applicants need a category B driving licence, an affinity with the Port of Rotterdam, a completed MBO or HBO qualification in Transport, Shipping or Logistics, Dutch and English proficiency, computer and Microsoft Office skills, and a VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
