Description
The Foster Parent Trainer will onboard and facilitate OCFS-mandated training for new foster parents in the Westchester Foster Care Recruitment program, provide orientation and training for prospective foster and adoptive resource parents, conduct kinship and foster-care trainings, represent the agency at community functions, and communicate the Children’s Village’s values and expectations. The role requires training experience, fluent English, a valid license, access to a working vehicle, and strong communication, interpersonal, writing, and computer skills; a bachelor’s degree and child-welfare experience are preferred, while an associate degree or equivalent credits with two years of child-welfare experience may also be considered.
