WEPA offers a three-year Paper Technologist training program starting 01.08.2027, combining vocational school in Altenburg with practical work at the paper-production facility. The trainee will operate and monitor paper machines, learn paper manufacturing processes, perform quality checks, and carry out maintenance and servicing. The program requires a Realschulabschluss, an interest in technology and production facilities, reliability, teamwork, goal orientation, self-motivation, and willingness to work shifts. Successful completion offers strong chances of retention and long-term employment in paper production, with training remuneration of EUR 1,187, EUR 1,251, and EUR 1,315 for the first, second, and third years respectively.
