Description
The role supervises and coordinates train crews and yard switching activities, including switching orders, track switches, coupling and uncoupling cars, RMI reports, daily train lists, crew work sheets, operational reporting, locomotive event recorders, man-hour approvals, accident investigations, and safety compliance. It requires at least three years of prior trainmen experience, current locomotive engineer and conductor certification, knowledge of federal railroad regulations, and the ability to train and communicate with yard personnel. The position involves 25–50% travel and requires work outdoors in all weather conditions.
