The Funeral Home Transporter is responsible for the care, removal, and transport of human remains from hospitals, nursing homes, residences, preparation rooms, or embalming facilities to a mortuary or funeral home. The role also maintains the transport vehicle, ensures personal protective equipment is available, and follows company policies. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid state driver’s license, and the ability to communicate effectively with families and other customers; the position may involve local travel, physical lifting, and exposure to chemicals or bloodborne pathogens.
