Description
King County Metro Transit is hiring multiple Transit Mechanic – Lead candidates to work on-site at various Vehicle Maintenance bases throughout King County. The role combines journey-level maintenance and repair of gasoline, electric, hybrid, and diesel-powered transit equipment with coordination, technical guidance, inspection, training, and feedback for mechanics. Candidates must be current Metro Transit Mechanics with at least two years of service in the classification, hold a valid CDL and acceptable five-year driving record, and pass a written exam and panel interview. The position is safety sensitive, hourly, and scheduled 40 hours per week with two consecutive days off.
