Description
The Transit Operator safely operates county vehicles along designated routes, assists passengers with boarding and exiting, maintains ridership and schedule records, and keeps vehicles clean and well-maintained. The role also coordinates with departmental staff to transport community members to medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, and other destinations, while completing daily service reports, logs, and inspection sheets. The position requires scheduling flexibility, professional service, adherence to safety regulations and traffic laws, and a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with a valid driver's license.
