Description
The City Transit Bus Driver transports passengers safely and courteously on established routes, operates a 35,000-pound vehicle, collects fares, provides customer service, reports delays and mechanical problems, responds to emergencies, and completes daily records. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, previous experience with large passenger vehicles or transit operations, and a valid Class B commercial driver’s license; applicants must obtain a Louisiana Class B license and the required passenger and air-brake endorsements within 60 days of hire.
