Description
The Transportation Assistant arranges commercial carrier pick-up and delivery, prepares staging labels, assigns seal numbers, monitors shipments from the warehouse to the destination, processes landing bills, maintains shipment reports, and signs proof of delivery. The role is temporary, first shift, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and requires a valid driver’s license, teamwork, a positive attitude, and the ability to operate equipment such as skid steers and loaders. DLA experience and a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree are preferred.
