Description
TxDOT Houston District is seeking a Transportation Engineer I or II for its Bridge Preservation and Maintenance Group. The role supports bridge preservation, inspection, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, structural analysis, design review, specifications, and coordination with contractors, fabricators, agencies, and local officials. Transportation Engineer I requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science and four years of relevant engineering experience; Transportation Engineer II requires five years of relevant experience. Both levels require a valid driver's license, professional engineering licensure or eligibility, and the ability to perform physically demanding field work, including driving a state vehicle and working in hazardous conditions.
