Description

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is hiring a Transportation Engineer in the Odessa District to lead and deliver transportation projects from concept through Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E), including roadway safety, mobility, intersection, bridge, rehabilitation, widening, and interchange projects. The role may be filled at Transportation Engineer I, II, or III level and includes engineering design, planning, project and consultant coordination, budget and schedule monitoring, technical review, staff leadership, presentations, and compliance with TxDOT, state, and federal requirements. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science degree accepted by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, 4–6 years of relevant experience depending on level, a valid driver's license, and a professional engineer license; it is physically demanding and may require field work, a pre-employment physical, and drug testing.
