Texas Department of Transportation is hiring a Transportation Maintenance Tech IV or V in Waxahachie, Texas to inspect and maintain highways, bridge and roadway infrastructure, perform construction and maintenance contract inspection, operate light to heavy highway equipment, conduct material and pavement testing, manage traffic control, keep project records, and assist the public during emergencies. The role is onsite, full-time, nonexempt, requires a valid driver’s license and 3 to 4 years of relevant transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, or construction inspection experience, and offers yearly pay up to $81,351 with comprehensive state benefits including fully paid health premiums for full-time employees.
