Description
The Texas Department of Transportation is hiring a Transportation Maintenance Technician I or II to maintain 715 miles of US and State highways, farm-to-market roads, rights-of-way, rest areas, and maintenance yards in Sterling and Glasscock counties. The role includes roadway repair, traffic control, equipment operation, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and other maintenance support. Transportation Maintenance Technician I requires no prior experience, while Technician II requires one year of relevant experience. The position offers company-sponsored CDL training, lodging, transportation, and per-diem when needed, with a Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule and salary ranges of $40,918–$61,130 annually for Technician I and $42,976–$64,469 annually for Technician II.
