Description
The State of Michigan is hiring several limited-term Transportation Maintenance Workers for winter maintenance work in Lenawee and Monroe counties. The positions may last from November through April, with no guarantee, and require full-time hours during the assignment. Duties include maintaining state trunk lines and right-of-way areas, performing surface and roadside maintenance, operating heavy vehicles such as dump trucks and snowplows, participating in team-managed work groups and the Transportation Maintenance Worker program, and traveling to assigned work areas. Candidates must have a Commercial Driver's License at the time of hire; experience requirements vary by level, and the E8 level requires TMW training and certification approval.
