PDS Optical is hiring a Travel Optician based in Tampa, Florida, at the VA Medical Center. The role provides eyewear services to Veterans, fitting, adjusting, repairing, and dispensing eyewear while traveling throughout the United States and U.S. Territories for an anticipated 80% or more of the time. The position offers $25-$30 per hour plus 3% commissions, a Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM schedule, and benefits including health, dental, life insurance, FSA, retirement matching, paid time off, and employee discounts. An active Florida optician license is required, along with customer service, optical equipment, and clinical environment experience; VA optical benefits knowledge is preferred.
