Description
The role is a reinsurance underwriter responsible for building and maintaining profitable treaty portfolios, managing client and broker relationships, identifying new business, developing and negotiating reinsurance solutions, pricing treaties, controlling treaty wording, and coordinating with actuarial, claims, and back-office teams. The position requires several years of reinsurance or reinsurance-broker experience, strong commercial and negotiation skills, knowledge of the South African insurance and reinsurance market, regular business travel, and fluency in English.
