The Ultrasound Technologist 2 performs sonographic procedures using ultrasound technology to generate images, assists physicians in selecting suitable applications and technical factors, and ensures high-quality sonograms. This role involves preparing and reviewing sonogram images, verifying image transmission to PACS, and maintaining equipment like the GUS soaking system. The technologist also handles administrative tasks such as scheduling, report review, and patient transportation, while adhering to strict compliance policies.
