Description
The Undersheriff serves as the Sheriff’s principal assistant and deputy department head, directing patrol and investigations operations, managing the Sheriff’s office, overseeing staff, budgets, training, reports, detention security, and law enforcement activities. The role requires law enforcement knowledge, management and supervision ability, a valid driver’s license, background investigation clearance, and typically fifteen years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience plus a Nevada POST Supervisor certificate.
