Description
The United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office for the District of New Mexico is hiring a United States Probation Officer for its Las Cruces divisional office, with placement in the Post-Conviction Unit. The role handles pretrial services, including background checks, risk assessments, bail and release recommendations, and supervision of released defendants; presentence investigations and sentencing recommendations; and post-conviction offender supervision. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, have two years of specialized experience, pass medical, background, and financial checks, be U.S. citizens or eligible to work in the United States, and be able to travel to divisional offices in New Mexico.
