Description
The Credit Union Teller provides professional service to current and prospective members by greeting visitors, explaining membership eligibility, account types, loan products, and other services, and handling account requests, transfers, withdrawals, check requests, and loan applications. The role also processes loan requests, follows up on loan activity, explains loan approvals and denials, educates members about loan protection products, and cross-sells credit union products. Required qualifications include knowledge of credit union operational procedures, cash handling, teller duties, member services, and loan processes; education up to the equivalent of a four-year high school education; and previous teller or member service experience. The role also requires accurate cash handling, computer and office equipment operation, and strong customer service and telephone skills.
