Description

Weber State University is hiring a full-time University Faculty/Occupational Therapy Assistant Program - Academic Fieldwork Coordinator to lead the academic fieldwork program for its Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. The role coordinates fieldwork sites and affiliations, manages student placements and clinical documentation, develops Level I and Level II placements, supports fieldwork educators, teaches OTA and Rehabilitation Sciences courses, and contributes to curriculum assessment and accreditation activities. The position requires a Utah occupational therapy or occupational therapy assistant license or eligibility with licensure by the start date, a master’s degree, and at least two years of documented occupational therapy professional experience, including clinical practice and fieldwork education. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree from a USDE-recognized accredited institution
Required Previous Experiences: At least two years of documented occupational therapy professional experience, including clinical practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
Professional experience as a fieldwork educator or documented training in fieldwork educator roles and responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, or EdD)
Five years of clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
Two years of educational and administrative experience in an academic setting
Teaching and curriculum development abilities
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Computer organization, word processing, and communication skills
Community partnership development, program evaluation, data analysis, and outcomes assessment experience
Experience coordinating Level I and/or Level II fieldwork
Knowledge of ACOTE standards and accreditation processes
Experience supporting students and fieldwork educators through performance concerns
Experience using clinical education or fieldwork management systems
Established connections with hospitals, clinics, and occupational therapists or occupational therapy assistants in the Wasatch Front and Northern Utah
