Description
The Future of Life Institute is hiring US Policy Team Members on a rolling basis to support bipartisan AI safety policy and US government engagement. The role involves working extensively on Capitol Hill, building relationships with federal policymakers, developing AI governance strategies, monitoring AI and emerging-technology policy, creating educational materials, briefing non-experts, and identifying opportunities for legislative change. Candidates must have federal-level experience working with or advocating to legislators or government officials, strong communication, interpersonal, research, meeting, and self-direction skills, and eligibility to work in the United States while being based in or relocating to Washington, DC. Preferred qualifications include a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, AI technical knowledge, advanced policymaking expertise, policy networks, partnership-building, legislative strategy, or corporate lobbying analysis experience.
