Description

PointClickCare is hiring a Principal AI Machine Learning Platform Engineer to set the technical vision and strategy for its machine learning platform supporting traditional machine learning and hybrid ML/LLM solutions. The role defines reference architectures, MLOps practices, reliability, observability, security, integration, and infrastructure patterns, while providing technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams. The position is remote, with travel to Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City for onboarding, team events, and meetings, and offers a US base salary of $179,000-$224,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Deep experience designing and building ML platforms and MLOps workflows at scale
Extensive experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration
Track record of setting technical direction and driving organization-wide technical initiatives across multiple teams
History of leading and sustaining the development of critical cross-team systems
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, serverless environments, and machine learning frameworks
Experience implementing security at scale, including role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, network security, and compliance monitoring
Experience optimizing large model training and inference, including LLM serving, for performance and cost
