Apple is hiring a User Secrets Software Engineer to design and implement secure, end-to-end encrypted data storage, synchronization, and recovery across its operating-system and cloud products. The role involves contributing code from on-device operating systems through iCloud services, collaborating with kernel, cloud, and other security teams, and balancing usability, performance, and security. Candidates need OS security, cryptography, key-management, distributed-systems, and architectural knowledge, with an M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience; Swift, Obj-C, C, and C++ experience are preferred.
