Western Utility Telecom is hiring a full-time Utility Engineering Drafter in Salem, Oregon to create and update structural, civil, and electrical drawings for utility and power engineering projects. The role uses AutoCAD and SolidWorks, collaborates with engineers and project managers, reviews drawings for compliance, maintains drafting records, and supports quality assurance and workflow improvements. Applicants need at least two years of drafting and design experience in a utility, power engineering, or related environment, proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and knowledge of substations, transmission systems, relay protection systems, and structural drafting concepts; an associate’s degree is preferred and a bachelor’s degree is a plus. The position offers hourly pay of $27 to $32, overtime and performance incentives, health insurance options, retirement plans, paid time off, and advancement opportunities.
