Sigma Technologies is hiring a Utility Field Technician to conduct field surveys of overhead power-distribution infrastructure in Montgomery, Alabama, and the broader Central and Southern Alabama service area. The role involves locating, inspecting, photographing, measuring, documenting, and uploading information about utility poles, power lines, transformers, attachments, and related facilities; planning routes; communicating with project, engineering, and design teams; and following field-safety requirements. The position requires outdoor travel, a reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and the ability to work independently in varied terrain and weather. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while prior utility or field-data-collection experience is preferred but not required.
