Description
The Utility person performs general and manual labor at mining sites, including shoveling, applying rock dust, delivering supplies, greasing conveyor equipment, assisting miners, installing and retrieving conveyor sections and electrical power distribution equipment, operating rubber-tired battery-powered scoops and diesel-powered forklifts, conducting machine and mine-condition checks, transporting equipment, maintaining machines, and supporting ventilation and cable work. The role requires a high school education or equivalent, knowledge of mining materials, methods, tools, machines, and maintenance, and compliance with federal and state coal mining laws and company policies.
