Description
The VA North Texas Health Care System, Dallas facility is hiring a Utility Systems Operator to safely operate and maintain its Energy Center, including three D-type pressurized water-tube boilers, a combined heat-and-power plant, two steam turbine-driven chillers, four centrifugal chillers, chilled-water and thermal-storage systems, emergency power and fire-safety systems, and bulk medical-gas systems. The role also performs preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, monitoring, and shift inspections, with a Monday-through-Sunday schedule subject to change and including holidays, weekends, nights, and rotating shifts. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, pass a background and suitability investigation, and demonstrate sufficient training or experience to perform the work.
