Description
The Utility Technician performs semi-skilled construction, maintenance, and repair work on water, reclaimed water, and wastewater utility systems. The role includes meter and valve troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, water-main and wastewater-line work, hydrant maintenance, equipment and inventory management, work-order processing, utility-line locating, and emergency response. Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, six months of relevant experience or an approved Level III certification, and be available for on-call rotation. The position requires OSHA trench safety and FDOT maintenance-of-traffic training within 12 months, a Florida driver’s license, and a drug and/or tobacco/nicotine test.
