Description
The Utility Technician Supervisor oversees and performs water and wastewater field operations, including heavy equipment and pump maintenance, sewer and water line repairs, meter installation and troubleshooting, fire hydrant maintenance, SCADA monitoring, confined-space work, and emergency response. The role supervises and trains a crew, coordinates contractors and customer-service issues, maintains safety and regulatory compliance, and may serve as a backup for the Utility Services Manager. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, three years of experience, a Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement, and relevant water or wastewater operator certification or the ability to obtain it within 18 months; weekends, holidays, and various shifts are required.
