Description

The Valve & Hydrant Specialist serves as a lead worker on assigned crews for the Gloucester County Public Utilities Department Water Distribution team. The role performs and supervises valve and hydrant inspections, lubrication, flushing, cleaning, repairs, replacements, documentation, and work-order submission; coordinates with utility crews, fire departments, contractors, and other agencies; and performs general equipment, building, and grounds maintenance. The position reports to the Utility Foreman and requires a high school diploma or GED, five years of progressively responsible and directly related experience, and a valid Class A CDL endorsement; a Class A endorsement is preferred.
