Description
The Utility Worker I and Utility Worker II roles perform unskilled to skilled maintenance, construction, repair, and replacement work for city wastewater, street, storm drainage, building, and utility systems. Duties include inspecting pumping stations and sewer systems, responding to service complaints, locating underground utilities, operating trucks and heavy equipment, performing pavement and utility work, maintaining buildings and tools, and assisting with training and emergency response. Both positions require a high school diploma or GED, a valid Oregon driver license, and a Class B commercial driver license within 12 months; Utility Worker II also requires Wastewater Collection System Operator II certification. The Utility Worker I salary range is $4,231.67–$5,148.48 per month, and the Utility Worker II range is $4,760.06–$5,791.34 per month.
