Description
The Utilization Review Coordinator serves as a liaison between Canopy Children’s Solutions and peer review organizations, physicians, treatment teams, managed care organizations, and administration. The role coordinates prior authorization, concurrent reviews, extensions, discharge planning, insurance eligibility, documentation uploads, billing holds, appeals, quality compliance, and utilization reporting for behavioral health services. It requires a current mental health certification or license, a bachelor’s degree with an LSW or a master’s degree in a relevant social science or rehabilitative field, and at least two years of behavior health experience plus one year working with children and adolescents. The position involves frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting, and the ability to assist youth or staff in emergencies.
