Whitehaven Coal is hiring a Vacation Student – Safety for a 12-week paid program at Maules Creek near Gunnedah during the 2026/27 university summer break. The role supports the site Health and Safety team through inspections, audits, hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, safety reporting, and continuous-improvement projects. Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive learning attitude. The program includes site-based mining operations exposure, mentoring, camp accommodation, and opportunities to develop industry knowledge and professional networks.
