Figure is an AI robotics company based in San Jose, CA, developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The company aims to ship humanoid robots with human-level intelligence, engineered to perform various tasks in home and commercial markets. The company requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration. They are seeking a Validation Engineer to lead the test development, validation, and performance characterization of Figure’s dexterous robotic hands. This role involves validating the entire hand subsystem, including electrical, firmware, mechanical, and actuation systems, from prototype through full robot integration, while driving performance, durability, and reliability standards. The engineer will design and execute validation workflows to stress the full range of motion, sensing, and control response across all joints, requiring a deep technical understanding of mechatronic systems, strong cross-disciplinary collaboration, and hands-on experience in building and testing high-performance electromechanical assemblies.
