Description
Pennsylvania School for the Deaf is hiring a part-time, FLSA non-exempt, 10-month union Van Driver to safely transport students to and from school events, including after-school programs, athletics, and Friday Night Live activities, using a PSD van. The role includes passenger safety, boarding and exiting assistance, vehicle inspections, incident reporting, CPR and First Aid certification, and communication with students, staff, and families, including those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Applicants must hold a current and valid driver’s license, have at least three years of driving experience, be at least 21 years old, meet specified driving-record requirements, and demonstrate American Sign Language proficiency at Level 1 or above.
